We are currently looking for a Tax Manager located at our headquarters who will directly report to the CFO. You are supported by a Tax Specialist in Germany and work together with business partners, external advisors, the Financial Shared Service Center and Center of Excellence. It is a broad tax position in which you will support the company on national and international tax matters. You work for 20+ legal entities and 11 countries. As a Tax Manager, you will be eager to take part in all kinds of tax projects, amongst others direct tax and indirect tax, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding tax, tax audits and tax accounting.

Your responsibilities

1. Tax Strategy & Governance 

  • Assume responsibility for all tax-related matters of the Group.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Tax Control Framework for the Group in Europe.
  • Proactively identify tax risks and opportunities; monitor, analyse, and report on the Group’s tax position.
  • Provide tax-related training and guidance to finance colleagues and business partners.

2. Corporate Income Tax & Tax Compliance 

  • Manage and support the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and related compliance activities for group companies.
  • Ensure all tax obligations are met timely and accurately.
  • Liaise with financial colleagues across the Group to ensure consistent application of tax policies.

3. Transfer Pricing 

  • Develop and refine the Group’s transfer pricing strategy.
  • Assist in transfer pricing analyses.
  • Coordinate and support the annual transfer pricing documentation cycle (e.g., Master File, Local Files).
  • Work with business units to ensure intercompany transactions align with transfer pricing policies.

4. VAT & Indirect Taxes 

  • Ensure optimal VAT compliance processes across the Group.
  • Identify opportunities to improve VAT efficiency and reduce risk exposure.

5. Tax Audits & External Stakeholders 

  • Support group companies during tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors for compliance, planning, and audit-related matters.

6. Cross-Functional Support 

  • Support the Financial Shared Service Center and Center of Excellence on tax matters
  • Advise business partners on tax aspects of commercial activities and projects, including tax accounting.

Job requirements 

  • Master’s degree in tax law or tax economics or equivalent work experience
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant international tax experience, preferably in a production environment or within tax consultancy;
  • Ability to analyze data and develop solutions to problems (strategic thinking skills and out-of-the-box solutions);
  • Hands-on approach; open to be involved in compliance work when necessary;
  • Broad tax interest and eager to learn more about other taxes than only VAT and Corporate income tax;
  • Ability to coordinate international tax projects;
  • Solid understanding of tax accounting principles is considered a benefit;
  • Pro-active, international focus, hands-on, flexible and a self-starter;
  • Strong communication skills and team player
  • NOB Education/registration is considered an advantage;
  • Full-time availability or at least 4 working days;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with preferably basic knowledge of the German language.
