Your role as VP Supply Chain & Procurement

Nedschroef is in the midst of a major transformation, evolving from a network of largely autonomous production sites into an integrated multisite organization. A key element of this transformation is the redesign of the global production and supply chain footprint, including the transfer of selected production activities to new locations in best-cost countries. This requires a coordinated approach to capacity, sourcing, planning, logistics and the transfer of products and processes between sites, while maintaining continuity, quality and customer service.

At the same time, Nedschroef is moving towards a more integrated push-pull supply chain strategy. The pull part of this model is being strengthened through the establishment of two new Service & Logistics (S&L) centers, bringing supply and demand closer together and improving responsiveness and customer service.

Together, these developments create greater interdependencies between locations and require a more professional and integrated approach to supply chain management. The transformation is not simply about optimizing individual sites, it is about designing and implementing an integrated supply chain that enables Nedschroef to leverage its global footprint, improve operational performance and support future growth.

As VP Supply Chain & Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and realizing this transformation. You will lead the global Supply Chain & Procurement function and provide functional direction across the broader Supply Chain network, strengthening end-to-end capabilities, increasing transparency and control, and creating greater alignment across sites and functions.

This is not a traditional operational supply chain role: approximately 60% of the position is focused on transformation and change leadership, with 40% on operational supply chain and procurement.

Supply Chain is organized across three areas:

• Central Supply Chain
• Service & Logistics
• Logistics within the production plants

You will have hierarchical responsibility for the Central Supply Chain organization. While the other two areas do not fall under your direct hierarchical responsibility, you will drive functional alignment, standardization, process improvement and automation across the broader supply chain network.

Reporting to the COO, you will directly lead a team of 8 employees and have functional responsibility for the overall Supply Chain organization (approximately 400 employees) and Procurement (approximately 45 employees). You will also provide functional leadership and direction across the broader Supply Chain network.

As a member of the Extended Executive Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the organization, working cross-functionally to shape and execute its future course.

You will translate and execute the Supply Chain & Procurement strategy in support of the Product Lines, ensuring that the end-to-end value chain delivers on the key priorities of safety, quality, delivery and cost, while building a strong and engaged organization. You will ensure effective planning, sourcing and flow of materials across the E2E value chain, support strategic initiatives such as transfers and footprint optimization, strengthen supplier performance and develop a high-performing Supply Chain & Procurement organization through strong people leadership.

A key priority is to build a leaner, more integrated and scalable Supply Chain & Procurement organization. You will simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary complexity and leverage standardization, digitalization and automation to improve efficiency. The ambition is clear: deliver the same or better performance with fewer people.

Your key focus areas include:

• Supply Chain Transformation: Move from largely autonomous plants towards an integrated multisite network, with common processes, governance, KPIs and clear ownership. Further implement and strengthen push-pull concept, S&OP, forecasting, supply chain parameters and inventory management through disciplined cross-functional planning.
• Procurement Excellence: Strengthen procurement capabilities through category management, global sourcing, supplier performance and risk management, while delivering sustainable savings and cost optimization across CMI and NPR spend. Particular focus will be placed on key categories such as raw materials, tooling and energy, supported by supplier consolidation, dual sourcing and business continuity.
• Inventory & Operational Performance: Structurally reduce inventory and improve working capital (free cash flow) while maintaining service levels, flow and delivery reliability. Work closely with Operations to address bottlenecks, capacity constraints, production flows and process performance.
• Digitalization, Automation & Standardization: Drive the transition from XPPS to Infor LN, strengthen master data governance, centralization and best process standardization through the Common Ground program, improve traceability across sites, and define the strategic direction for Supply Chain automation, including automated warehousing, AGVs and RFID.

Ultimately, you will be accountable for measurable improvements in procurement value, supplier performance, customer delivery, inventory, working capital and operational efficiency, initially focusing on the Bolts-products, with the ambition to further roll out the approach across the wider Nedschroef network.

As an experienced supply chain leader, you combine strategic vision with strong operational credibility and the ability to lead complex transformation in an international environment.

You are comfortable engaging with plant managers and teams on the shop floor, while also operating effectively at executive level. You are comfortable challenging the status quo and defending your direction, while remaining open to strong arguments and new perspectives. Your background:

• HBO or WO level, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field;
• Over 15 years of senior leadership experience in multinational supply chain environments within automotive, aerospace or other high-pressure industrial sectors, with complex supply chains, stringent delivery requirements, significant costs of non-delivery, and demanding quality standards and audits. Experience in high-volume, high-mix environments is highly relevant; experience in the fastener industry is not required;
• Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation and change initiatives in an international multisite manufacturing environment;
• Proven experience in building and developing high-performing teams in complex, international and multisite environments, creating clarity, accountability and a strong performance culture;
• Strong understanding of the interaction between Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations, including inventory reduction, bottleneck management, capacity planning and supplier performance;
• Independent and convincing leader with the resilience and influencing skills to navigate a complex stakeholder environment, drive change and deliver results;
• Excellent command of Dutch, English and German, both written and spoken.
