Your role as Supervisor Engineering NPI

As our Supervisor Engineering NPI you will be responsible for coaching and guiding the engineering team to work proactively, take ownership, make decisions based on data and deliver high quality work within project targets. You will provide day to day leadership, remove obstacles, challenge assumptions and help the team develop toward a more mature, structured and professional engineering organization.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement by initiating and implementing standardization across processes, methods and documentation. You will stimulate an open and innovative mindset, ensuring that engineers not only execute their assignments but also contribute actively to process optimisation, problem solving and long term capability building. You help shape the engineering vision for the future by identifying the skills the team needs to develop, defining priorities and ensuring alignment with NPI and production.

You will also play a key role in ensuring a smooth and complete handover to production, making sure deliverables meet quality, cost and timing requirements. By embedding risk based thinking, structured approaches and data driven decision making, you help the team increase predictability and operational excellence.

Furthermore, you will play a central role in strengthening the organization’s development toward a culture that encourages autonomy, responsibility and continuous improvement. You create an environment where engineers feel empowered to speak up, take initiative and challenge the status quo. By acting as a role model for open communication, trust and professionalism, you help build a high performing engineering team that is ready for the future of Nedschroef.

Your profile

You are an enthusiastic and motivating leader with strong coaching skills. You can sense what your team needs, inspire them, and create an open and innovative environment. You are analytical, data‑driven and comfortable working with statistical methods. You bring structure, initiative and a clear vision.

In addition, you match the following criteria:

  • Relevant technical background with broad engineering insight (cold forming, machining, automation).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or strong understanding of the methodology).
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Ability to balance innovation with structure and standardization.
  • Comfortable in leading a team.
  • Proactive, open‑minded and risk‑based thinking.
  • Ability to shape departmental vision, future needs and required competencies.
